An anniversary NOT to be forgotten....

Thirteen red roses arrived at Fido Farms on our anniversary. Jeanne and I were there for Scott Glen's shedding clinic. The card said....."and rolling.". How did I know which husband sent them? By the odd number of roses. It is an old European custom and a family tradition in my family to send an odd number of flowers. :0). We celebrated that evening with a bottle of Champagne I had brought to celebrate 28 years of marriage. At around 9;30 we decided fo hit the hay. I was going to sleep in the bunk bed of my girlfriend's trailer. As I climbed the ladder I lost my balance and reached for the linens above. All I got was a slippery satin comforter. I crashed over backwards into a Coleman chair. Let"s just say it took my breath away. I could feel what felt like bubbling in my lower left lung. The pain was excruciating. I thought I had a left pnemothorax. I was dreading the thought of a chest tube. 911 and a whole night in the ER later.......diagnosis 'broken/displaced' ribs. Oh happy anniversary. NOT. The bubbling feeling was bone grating on bone with every breath or movement. My first broken bones and hopefully, my last!
It has put quite a damper on my vacation, but I'm not going to let it ruin my plans. OUCH! As I write this from the back of my truck, I am at the LaCamas stock dog trial. It resembles the Nationals. I can't wait to show you the photos of the scenic trial grounds. Absolutely Gorgeous!
