2012 girlfriend vacation

Yep, Mary and I had sooooo much fun on our Catalina/Mexico cruise in May this year that we are now planning a 2012 cruise for September.  What, plan a cruise when it is National Finals sheepdog month?  Ya, sure, you betcha.  I won't have any dogs ready for the Finals next year, plus the computer webcast of the finals is the next best thing to being there. :0)

We are planning an 8 night WINE cuise.  We will kick it off in Vancouver.  We stay in British Columbia for a few days.  Then, spend a couple of days at sea.  Then, we stop in San Francisco for several days.  Next stop is in Monterey.  We end up in San Diego.   From there, we take a train back up to Santa Clarita.  We will be going on the Celebrity Millennium.

Sep 14 Friday 1 Vancouver, British Columbia
Sep 15 Saturday 2 Nanaimo - British Columbia
Sep 16 Sunday 3 Victoria, British Columbia
Sep 17 Monday 4 At Sea
Sep 18 Tuesday 5 San Francisco, California  (overnight)
Sep 19 Wednesday 6 San Francisco, California
Sep 20 Thursday 7 Monterey - California
Sep 21 Friday 8 At Sea
Sep 22 Saturday 9 San Diego, California

Celebrity Millennium Fellow Passengers
Celebrity Millennium passengers tend to be sophisticated, well-traveled adults in the 45 to 65 age range, and indeed, the Celebrity experience is ideal for the "baby boom" generation. Most of the guests are North American, with Britain and other European countries represented.
Well traveled, YES......Sophisticated....Doubtful!

Mary has never been to Canada plus I like wine and Mary likes 'less' kids.  LOL  I'm guessing since it is in Sept. that school has already begun, plus what family wants to plan a WINE cruise for their kids.  We are hoping that's the case. So I think this will be the perfect cruise for us.  I love to read.  This will give me lots of time to catch up on some good books!  We already booked the cruise in hopes of getting upgrades throughout the year.  We bought the travel insurance because none of us and especially our folks aren't getting any younger.  I guess I better go update my passport. :0)
