Walk-Up Yoko

YOKO has qualified for the Nursery Finals. She has been having quite a showing up here in the Pacific Northwest. Being able to attend two 3 day trials has really helped her progress. These are the first pro-novice classes she has been entered in. Not too shabby, a 6th place (shame about the handler) out of 56 dogs. She got a 76 missing the crossdrive panels and pulling two back through. One of those "shoulda coulda woulda" moments......
Yo doesn't have her mother's intensity or come forward, but she wants to partner up. The sheep like her much better than her mother. Now she just needs experience and maturity :0)
Yesterday in nursery she had a bad ass curly horned black faced scottie that wanted nothing to do with the trial field. She nailed him on the first leg of the drive and then had to do some hotdog stock work with him to get him to the pen with the others. The judge from Scotland gave us a thumbs up and said, "Brilliant work." I was so happy with her I cried.
Yo's mother always works well off the field, so I am still hopeful. Once in awhile she gives me a glimmer of hope. But, she's not my partner yet. She best look out. I think her daughter is going to pass her up. I give Kilt credit for producing some outstanding pups with a little help from Jet.
That may have to be her claim to fame. Remains to be seen. It ain't over till it's over :0)

Well done young Yoko! She will prove to be an awesome partner. I tried to steal her as a joke at Whidbey and she would have nothing to do with me. She is obviously a one-woman dog. LOL

Now that's funny. You could have stolen her mother Kilt, in a heartbeat, but nope, not my Yoko. hahahaha
