Is it all about winning?

If it were "all" about winning for me, I would have done quite a bit of dog trading, sent dogs out to be trained or bought already trained dogs....maybe, even a few imported ones.

I think I am learning a wealth of information about working sheep with the 3 dogs I have. And, on occasion I can win a ribbon or two and even a few blue ones.

The satisfaction I receive training my own dogs is gratifying to say the least. That's not to say, that some day I won't buy some imported trained "ringer." haha

It makes me smile when I see other handlers with imported national champions they have purchased get around a course. I'm happy for them. But, I'm happier for myself. We have done it together from the ground up.

"Betwixt the stirrup and the ground, mercy I asked and mercy I found."
