Old dog day at the beach

Xena's nails had grown like a full inch since her surgery 3 mos. ago.  My Vet was nice enough to trim her nails while she was under anesthesia.  She is a bear for me to trim her nails.  They are so THICK.  Wayne doesn't do dog nails.  I do all of the dog's upkeep.  So, I thought....well, Xena hasn't been to the beach in a long time and my Vet is right on the way.  So I loaded up Xena, 14 yrs. old, Jet, 12 yrs. old and Trouble 10 yrs. old.  A treat for the OLD dogs :0)
P.S. My Vet did her nails with no sedation in under 10 minutes and only charged me $12.00.  Hooray!

OMG  is it sand?  Really?

All three had a fine time this beautiful day.

The surf was bigger than usual.  Maybe that had something to do with the storms.

Old Xena frolicking!

Another pretty photo of my favorite threesome.

Happy Xena.  She had her nails done, got to ride in the camper van, came to the beach, had fun at the harbor and got lots of cookies.  It's a good day.

Jet walking himself at the harbor.

Three old dogs sitting on a bench.

Troubie and Xena Bean enjoying the grass.

Jet the ham and still, one beautiful dog.

Xena loved the van.  It's an easy step up for all three.  Xena was able to jump on the couch in the back.  That's where she and jet rode.  Troubie stayed up in the passenger seat.  She has a little soft crate to ride in.  I had another fabulous dungeness crab salad out on the porch of Spinnakers on the harbor and then started the 90 minute trek home.

What a fabulous day!! Everyone tells me that if there's anything to this reincarnation thing, they want to come back as one of my animals. I think you've got me beat hands down. So fun seeing the photos & reading your blog. :-)

A great day out with the 'Oldies'. The ocean looks wonderful.
Calli and Xena's heads are very similar looking.
