Did you hear the Buzz?

I have been looking for what I feel will be a nice cross with Kilt.  We got a couple of nice pups out of her by Jet.  Just a little soft for my liking. I have looked in state and out of state for hopefully, just the right sire.  Kilt is everything I want in a dog for stock work.  She will bring you your stock in five foot high brush in the middle of the night atop a mountain.  She has the stamina to go all day. She is built for speed.  She will die trying to hold a single. I'm just not a capable enough handler for her in trials. She steps up her intensity at trials. But, she has her share of open placements and one open win.  She is my right arm for anything pertaining to ranch work.

 Keen-eye Kilt

Kilt was so happy to have Suzy's son Bryce to play with this week!

After watching the finals, I came back to the sire I wanted for her several years ago, before all of his big winnings, Suzy Applegate's Buzz.  I know the dogs behind Kilt and Suzy knows the dogs behind Buzz.  That is important to me.  I need to know the background.  I don't take breeding lightly.  This will be our 2nd litter.
Kilt is by Imp. Keen by Aled Owen's Bob (International Supreme Champion) Her dam is Keen-Eye Teag (Calgary Stampede World Champion and Reserve Champion the next year)  Buzz was the 2008 Nationals Nursery Champion, 2010 Meeker Champion and 3rd this year at the National Finals.  Buzz's sire, Hap, was a seasoned open trial dog with loads of power.  Buzz also has a full brother on the World team in agility. These dogs are strong, well built dogs.

I'm having the feeling that no one is going to have to ask one of these pups to walk-up 'twice.'  :0)  I so want a male to replace old Jet.  So here's keeping our fingers and toes crossed that she took!

I like power.  I like guts.  I like to gallop horses on the track.  I like fast cars.  Need I say more?

Sounds like an awesome cross. I think that you'll be happy with this cross. Too bad I'm not in the market for a puppy right now.
