We've got a lot to  learn from our dogs.

We are very lucky. ALL of our dogs, no matter what breed, are extremely tolerant of the little ones.  Plus, they are fabulous "mentors."  It only took a few gruffs at the pups from Xena to teach them

 that she didn't really care for their shenanigans.  They all understood.  When Xena is sunning, don't pull her ears or bite her tail.  Let sleeping dogs lie.
