With Wayne in the hospital, I needed to relieve some stress on my day off. I took the collies on a 4 mile hike on the Pacific Crest Trail (PCT) which I almost live on. It was 55 degrees outside,a slight breeze and so quiet in the hills you could hear a pin drop. The mountains are my church.
There is a pulpit-like stand on the trail that has an enclosed box with a pen and pad for hikers who use the trail to write down their musings. The last entry said, "This is my first time on this trail. I'm excited and looking forward to talking to God." :0)
I scratched any upcoming trials I had entered for this year. Time to concentrate on family. Wayne is very sick. He will be in the hospital for a week or more. :0( I need to continue working. Thankfully, I work in the hospital where he is receiving good care. Friends in Green Valley have been putting my sheep up for me when I work. I work 12 hour shifts, so I don't get home until hours after dark. The dogs are tolerating their kennel arrangements (topped kennel runs), but I still feel badly for them when I work. But, at least the sheep are out of night time predators harms way.
Be kind to ALL....everyone is fighting their own battles. Remember that.

Not sure if my first comment got through.
So sorry to hear about Wayne:( Hope he gets will quickly. Thinking of you both.
Thank-you Karen. You just never know what life is going to throw at you on any day.
Oh gosh, hang in there. I fell while chasing sheep and broke my arm, now hubby has me, the sheep, and a pack of dogs to take care of. He and the old lady BC have come to an understanding. He points, she goes. Never know what you'll need to do just to cope. Best wishes from WV
Thanks Debbie....Luckily, I have good neighbors, friends, and family.
Hurry and get that arm mended!
