I took a side trip down the Old Coastal Highway in Oregon and ended up at the North jetty of the Rogue River. Wayne and I both love the Rogue. I stayed there for about an hour watching everyone salmon fish.
I noticed this odd statue and upon closer inspection I read about the North Jetty Cat Sanctuary.
Fort Feline
At first glance, I thought these were large bird houses. They are cat motels. I saw fresh water and blankies in the kitty condos, but I didn't see any cats? Hopefully, with the donations they have been able to neuter and find homes for them. I'm sure the cat hostel comes in pretty handy when it is raining outside.

Maybe the cats were out fishing too:)
What a great idea though. Love the cute houses.
