Red Tail Hawk

I saw this hawk on the wing and stopped my truck to get a closer view. To my delight he landed on top of a telephone pole right above me.

He had a snake he was chowing down on. He didn't care about me being close by. He was more interested in his meal.

Oh yummy...the snake appears to be quite a find. That just goes to show you how great this bird's eyesight is in 3 foot high grasses.

Last, but not least, he's looking pretty proud of himself and quite satiated, too. :0)
